As a mama, Iβm learning that sometimes my little one has the feeling but doesnβt have the words for it yet.
Thatβs what inspired this simple Trace the Feeling worksheet. I wanted something more than just matching happy and sad faces β something that helps with actually naming the feeling and talking about why they feel that way.
We practice things like:
π βI feel happy.β
π’ βI feel sad.β
π βI feel mad.β
π βI feel worried.β
π£ βI feel frustrated.β

They can trace the feeling, pick how they feel today, draw what made them feel that way, and practice saying βI can use my words.β
Itβs a small activity, but these are the little skills I want my child to have when those BIG feelings come up. π
Because feelings are okay. We just have to learn how to talk about them.
