Every successful business begins with a single idea.
The Junior CEO Project™ is a five-part printable entrepreneurship series that introduces students to the exciting world of business ownership through engaging, hands-on activities. Rather than simply learning business vocabulary, students become entrepreneurs by creating a business from the ground up, making financial decisions, solving problems, marketing their ideas, and presenting their final business to an audience.
Designed for upper elementary through middle school learners, this project blends entrepreneurship, financial literacy, communication, creativity, and critical thinking into one memorable experience that’s perfect for classrooms, homeschool families, business clubs, career exploration, and project-based learning.
What’s Included?
📘 Part 1 • Dream Big
Students begin their entrepreneurial journey by discovering their interests, brainstorming business ideas, identifying customers, choosing a business name, selecting brand colors, creating a slogan, and defining their mission.

💡 Part 2 • Build Your Business
Students develop their business model by selecting products or services, creating pricing, exploring startup costs, setting goals, and learning what it takes to operate a successful business.

💰 Part 3 • Money Matters
Students receive a realistic startup budget, manage expenses like rent and business fees, decide whether to hire an employee, purchase supplies, calculate profits, and make thoughtful financial decisions while staying within budget.

📈 Part 4 • Grow Your Business
Students learn how businesses attract customers through marketing, advertising, promotions, customer service, business growth strategies, and reflective decision-making. They’ll also explain why customers should support their business and develop creative incentives or discounts.

🎤 Part 5 • Showcase Your Business
Students wrap up the project by creating a poster board, PowerPoint, Canva presentation, digital flyer, or business display. They’ll present their business, receive audience feedback, complete a CEO reflection, and celebrate becoming a Junior CEO.

The flexible format also makes it easy to use over several class periods, as a complete unit, or as an end-of-year entrepreneurship project.
