Push Through Faith X Short Story

“Push Through Faith”
Treace was a pharmacist in a small city just outside Houston.
She had the job she worked hard for, but lately, life felt heavy. Her confidence had faded, her energy was low, and most nights she sat in silence wondering when things would get better.
Still, every morning before work, she whispered a short prayer:
“God, just give me the strength to push through today.”
A Chance Meeting
One rainy afternoon, a woman rushed into the pharmacy with her little boy.
“Sorry, he’s burning up,” the woman said, out of breath.
Treace smiled kindly. “You’re fine. Let’s take care of him.”
That woman was Marie, a single mother doing her best to stay strong. Her warmth and honesty reminded Treace of the person she used to be — hopeful, trusting, full of life.
They became friends. Over coffee, Marie introduced Treace to her cousin Tone and his friend Harry. For the first time in months, Treace laughed until her stomach hurt. She began to feel like God was slowly rebuilding her peace.
Darkness Returns
One evening, Marie came to Treace’s house in tears.
“It’s David,” she said. “My ex. He’s back. He’s angry.”
Treace felt fear, but she also felt something stronger — faith.
“Let’s pray,” she said. “We’ll get through this.”
Tone and Harry met them at Marie’s home. David was already outside, shouting, furious. He slammed his hand against her car and threatened everyone who stood near.
When he took a step forward, Treace stood tall, heart racing but steady.
“You don’t control this anymore,” she said firmly. “We are covered.”
Tone stepped in, keeping David back until the police arrived.
The moment felt endless — then suddenly quiet.
Peace After the Storm
After that night, Treace sat on her balcony watching the sunrise. She felt exhausted but grateful.
She finally understood: faith didn’t mean the storm wouldn’t come — it meant she wouldn’t face it alone.
She smiled softly and whispered her morning prayer again:
“Thank You, God, for reminding me that I’m still standing.”
Lesson:
No matter how dark life feels, faith can light the way.
Never give up — your mind, your peace, and your life are worth fighting for.
